Study for the optimization of the wax and lube oil unit of the Barrancabermeja industrial complex (CIB), Colombia.
Abstract
To improve the operation of a wax and lube oil unit, some actions were taken: design and construction of pilot plants, analysis of pilot plants, analysis of operational diagrams, detections of bottlenecks spots, phenol and n-methyl pyrrolidone comparison studies, 1-1 extraction operation control through refraction index, study of the methyl ethyl cetone/toluene ratio, and use of dewating odditives. In this filed, ICP developed the ADP-001 additive.
